A Tribute to Rommel Padanou
Two weeks before the opening ceremonies of the 1997 World Scholar-Athlete Games, I received a call from a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon, on the west coast of Central Africa. Since the inaugural World Scholar-Athlete Games in 1993, the Peace Corps has helped us identify outstanding scholar athletes and scholar artists, particularly from African countries. [...]

This summer marks the 8^th Scholar-Athlete Games. Alumni are encouraged to get involved by nominating students or volunteering.

A reception for all Scholar-Athlete Games alumni will be held on the Opening night of this year's World Scholar-Athlete Games. Join fellow alumni on June 26 at 5 pm at the University of Hartford. RSVP to alumni@internationalsport.org.
