Dear Nominator:

Thank you for your interest in the 2011 World Scholar-Athlete Games, which includes participation in the 2011 World Youth Peace Summit.  A common theme of past WSAG participants is that the experience is the most meaningful extracurricular activity of their lives.  Your time spent nominating student(s) is a valuable part of the WSAG, and we thank you!

Let me provide you with some important information regarding nominees:

  • All nominees must have achieved honor roll status or B average in school.
  • All nominees must have a proficiency in the particular program(s) of interest.
  • All nominees must be young people of strong character.
  • All nominees must be young people with clear leadership potential.
  • While it is not required, it is helpful if you inform those you have nominated.

World Scholar-Athlete Games Nomination Form

Statement of Nominator Right of Privacy: The IIS accords all nominators the right of privacy. This is particularly important for teachers and coaches who, in nominating certain qualified scholar-athletes and scholar-artists, do not nominate others. Based on feedback from teachers and coaches, we decided many years ago not to put our nominators into the position of having to defend their nomination to students not nominated – and their parents. Thus, while we encourage nominators to inform the individuals they have nominated, we do not reveal the name of the nominator.

You are welcome to nominate as many candidates as you wish. Upon submitting this information, each nominee will be sent a WSAG invitation to apply.
