Definition of Proficiency in a Sports or Arts Activity
“Proficiency” in a sport is defined as being an active member of a high school team or competitive club league. The registration form requires that a recommender confirm the candidates proficiency.
All team rosters are filled on a first-come first-served basis. Participants are able to select a second choice sport, providing they meet the proficiency requirements.
“Proficiency” in the arts is defined as active participation in the area chosen. This can include participation in school-sponsored or community clubs and organizations. The registration form requires that a recommender confirm the candidates proficiency. In some cases, the 2011 World Scholar-Athlete Games Director of the particular arts activity, e.g. Choir, Dance, Symphony, etc. will contact the recommender for further details.
All spaces for the arts programs are filled on a first-come first-served basis. Participants are able to select a second choice, providing they meet the proficiency requirements.
