2:15 – 3:00 PM | Plenary Session Speaker introducing Theme Day |
3:00 – 4:30 PM | Theme Day Discussion Groups. Each group is led by a trained facilitator. |
4:30 – 7:00 PM | Dinner and "Divertissiment!" Divertissement means "a diversion or entertainment". The Scholar-Athlete Games fabled divertissement program involves as many as 10 special activity options for all scholar-athletes and scholar-artists. Options for the 2011 World Scholar-Athlete Games will include attending a reading by an acclaimed author "under the tent", listening to a "warm up performance" by the Scholar-Athlete Games Choir or Symphony, listening to panels on life in college or the role of women in sports. The 2011 World Scholar-Athlete Games will feature four leadership sessions with Scholar-Athlete Games Founder, Dan Doyle. Dan’s leadership sessions were one of the most popular activities at our last "Games," the 2008 United States Scholar-Athlete Games. |

11:30 PM | Lights Out. Our lights out curfew is carefully monitored by dorm supervisors. The Scholar-Athlete Games takes great pride in the excellent behavior of our participants, dating back to the inaugural Games in 1993. This good behavior includes observance of curfew. |
Special Training Routines
Scholar-athletes and scholar-artists who are engaged in special training routines for their particular sport/cultural/arts activity, and who wish to continue the training routine during the Games, will be accommodated. Special training routine arrangements will be made in April and May, 2011, and involve the Scholar-Athlete Games Commissioner communicating with the scholar-athlete/scholar-artist and his/her coach or supervisor.
