ABOUT “LOVE LETTERS”
A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer Prize nominated play “Love Letters” made its debut in New
Haven in 1988. Soon thereafter the play commenced a 96 performance run on Broadway. Over the years, “Love Letters” has been staged thousands of times in the United States and abroad. The roles of Andy and Melissa have been performed by such notable pairs and Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw, Mia Farrow and Brian Dennehy and Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.
On June 7th the talented duo of Marc Carver and Dianne Peretti will present their 5th
performance of “Love Letters” at the beautiful St. John’s High Theatre. Mr. Carver and Mrs. Peretti have drawn rave reviews for their portrayals of Andy and Melissa.
The New England Basketball Hall of Fame is proud to offer “Love Letters” on June 7th.
